Iran's Oil Minister Javad Owji has accused Israel on Wednesday of conducting attacks on Iranian main gas pipelines, amid rising escalation in the Middle East after the Israel-Hamas war.

"It was a conspiracy made by the Israelis. It was the action of usurper Israel," he said.

Israel has denied conducting alleged attacks on the two main natural gas pipelines inside Iran.

Owji also confirmed that the targeted pipelines were 'quickly repaired', claiming that authorities 'didn't have a gas cut anywhere in the country'.

Explosions occurred around 9:30 GMT last Wednesday, February 14, forcing residents to flee their homes, according to an Iranian state media report.

The attacks reportedly targeted several points along the two main gas pipelines in Fars and Jahar Mahal Bakhtiari provinces.
