The British Women's Olympic Curling Team took home the gold after defeating Japan in Beijing on Sunday.

Vicky Wright stated in the postgame press conference, "the feelings that this team has gone through is dreams come true. It is something that we have fought very hard to get as a team and we have come so so far from the beginning of this season."

Teammate Jennifer Dodds added, "we knew today if we just went out and played like we have been playing and just keeping relaxed, because have always said that is when we play our best when you see us relaxed having fun, that is when we play our best and I think that we showed that today and I am so incredibly proud of these girls."

The UK Women's Curling Team beat Japan in the finals 10-3 securing the only gold medal for the United Kingdom in the Beijing games.
