٠٠:٠١:٤٣The US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi's visit to Taiwan has mounted the crisis over the Island again, Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn said during a press conference following the 5th Association of Southeast Asian Nations Foreign Ministers' Meetings in Phnom Penh on Saturday.
."But still the Taiwan strait, the Taiwan issue emerged again. Why? Because of the visit of Madam Nancy Pelosi, the speaker of the house of America," he said.
Sokhonn also pointed out that ASEAN's Foreign Ministers' discussed Myanmar, the Russian-Ukraine war, and the DPRK and Taiwan cross-strait issues during their meeting.
Foreign Ministers and officials attended more than 20 regional events, debating local issues and discussing post-2025 direction for the group.
The 40th and 41st full summits will take place in Cambodia in October and November of this year.
