The World Utilities Congress 2024, hosted by Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA), kicked off in the UAE capital on Monday.

“The World Utilities Congress 2024 provides a leading global platform to exchange experiences and insights with industry leaders, policymakers, experts and innovators worldwide. it also provides the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy with an opportunity to highlight its relentless efforts to lead the transformation of the energy sector through its ambitious vision and strategic initiatives,” Chairman of Abu Dhabi Department of Energy Awaidha Murshed Al Marar said at an interview.

During the conference, the Department of Energy is set to review the most important strategies, policies, regulations and systems related to the energy and water sectors according to media reports.

90 companies and more than 180 exhibitors will showcase innovations in the utilities sector from 16 to 18 September, with more than 12,000 attendees expected.
