The International Olympics Committee's Spokesperson Mark Adams gave a statement from Beijing on Monday confirming that ROC athlete Kamila Valieva will not be awared any medal if she finishes in the top rgezz of Women’s Single Skating competition.

"Should Ms Valieva finish amongst the top three competitors in the women’s single skating competition, no flower ceremony and no medal ceremony will take place during the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022," he said.

Adams did however confirm that she will be allowed to participate in the competition. The Court of Arbitration for Sport came to an inconclusive ruling regarding whether Valieva could be provisionally suspended after testing positive for a banned substance.
