A commemoration ceremony on Wednesday paid tribute to General Qassem Soleimani at Kerman Martyrs Cemetery where the slain general had been laid to rest in 2020.
Mourners lined up to pay their respects at the grave of the late Quds Force general who was killed in a drone strike in Baghdad on orders of then US President Donald Trump.
"We are taking revenge. The resistance front in Syria and Iraq caused the Americans to leave, which is itself a promise of revenge. When the Americans pack up and leave, it is a victory in itself, which is certainly the result of the same hard revenge. We are sure," said Jafar Tayar, a Kerman Martyrs Cemetery staff member.
