Around 40,000 people are expected to attend this year's exhibition, according to local media. Approximately 400 exhibitors also reportedly took part in the event, which was located in an area of about 30,000 square metres.

"The atmosphere of this exhibition is very good, because after several years of the pandemic - various military enterprises and other information technology companies want to display their products and share and communicate with more customers," an exhibitor said, Guo Bin.

The CIDEX exhibition was organised by the China Electronics Information Industry Group in cooperation with the Equipment Development Department of the Central Military Commission. The event aims to showcase independent innovations in national defence technology.
