Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah warned Israel that its northern residents would not be able to return and blamed the recent explosions in Lebanon on Tel Aviv duriung a televised address from Beirut on Thursday.

“You will not be able to return the usurper and occupying settlers to the northern settlements. No matter what you do, you will not be able to return them,” Nasrallah said.

“Over two days, and in one minute on Tuesday, and one minute on Wednesday, the Israeli enemy wanted to kill at least 5,000 people in just two minutes, ignoring all controls. Israel has no problem whatsoever where and how they are killed. Let’s not also forget the number of people who may be wounded, the state of turmoil, the capacity of hospitals to accommodate all the wounded, and that many of them will die. What can we call this criminal act? It is a major terrorist operation, a genocide, a massacre. We will call it the Tuesday and Wednesday massacre, or the massacres of Tuesday and Wednesday, to add to the enemy’s major massacres amid the ongoing conflict since its establishment and the creation of this cancerous gland and absolute evil in our region. It is a genocide, a major aggression against Lebanon, its people, resistance, sovereignty, and security,” he added.

“We say to Netanyahu and Gallant – who was to be sacked - we say to the government, army, and people of our enemy, that Lebanon’s front will not stop until the aggression against Gaza stops,” he added.

Wednesday saw a large number of handheld radios and solar energy systems explode, while Tuesday saw mass pager detonations.

On Thursday, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that the death toll had risen to 37 in the two days, with more than 450 injured on Wednesday while the previous day, 12 were confirmed dead and nearly 3,000 wounded.

On Wednesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated his pledge to return residents of northern Israel to their homes.

“I have already said, we will return the residents of the north to their safe homes, that's what we will do,” Netanyahu said.

Hezbollah attributed the explosions to Israel, while the country has not commented on the attacks.
