Members of the Russian community joined the Immortal Regiment march in Buenos Aires on Saturday.
Footage shows participants holding Soviet banners and pictures of their relatives who were soldiers in the Red Army.
"it's very important for us first that the memory of our heroes who saved the world from fascism isn't erased. They are our grandparents, our ancestors, and it's very important for us that the country that we are living in understands that. Now in the current situation only through us we can hold this memorial candle and not to forget who won in this war," Silvana Jarmoluk Stroganova, one of the event's organisers said.
"I feel a great emotion, I arrive at the square and it makes me want to cry because it is an emotion to be here and remember my father," Maria Aejandra WeiriIovch, another participant stated.
The Immortal Regiment March takes place on Victory Day in many countries of the world to commemorate the victory of the Soviet Union over Nazi Germany in World War II, during which participants carry portraits of soldiers who served in the Red Army and lay flowers at memorials.
