Description

Hundreds of English and Spanish fans headed to Olympic Stadium in Berlin on Sunday to watch the Euro 2024 final between England and Spain.

Footage features fans from both teams gathering together, singing, drinking beer and setting off flares outside the stadium.

"General mood is good. It's been fun being around, big, big England contingent here," said one England fan.

Meanwhile a Spanish fan said that teamwork rather than 'star' players was key to his team's success.

"We have made it, we have played the best game. The team doesn't have any stars, but it behaves like a team. They play super well and work as a team. They don't have great individuals, but they have a lot of solidarity. With this set-up, we were a perfect team." he added.

Ultimately, Spain beat England 2-1 to win the 2024 European Championship at the Olympiastadion Berlin.

La Roja opened the scoring after half time with a strike from Nico Williams, while Cole Palmer equalised in the 73rd minute. Mikel Oyarzabal grabbed the winner with just four minutes of regular time remaining.

It marks Spain's record fourth title, while England - also beaten by Italy in the previous final in 2021 - are without a win at a major tournament since the 1966 World Cup.
