Protesters clashed with riot police on the streets of Paris on Thursday, during a fifth nationwide day of organised action over planned pension reforms.
Footage shows officers running and detaining one activist, as others threw flares and projectiles towards police cars.
Many are seen gathered outside the Ministry of Higher Education, with some climbing the railings and others carrying a banner reading ''the revolt is dancing/we f*ck everything'.
Large-scale marches also took place in other parts of the capital and across the country.
In January, French President Emmanuel Macron announced his plan to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64 by 2030, triggering huge protests. Reforms of the system were central to both his 2017 and 2022 campaigns.
Ministers say the changes will balance the deficit in the system caused by longer life expectancy. The last reform, in 2011, raised the retirement age from 60 to 62.
