Demonstrators at Black Lives Matter Plaza in Washington DC expressed their feelings as the US President Donald Trump was leaving the office on Wednesday.
"Good riddance. Not soon enough. Now I can exhale," said Nadine, one of demonstrators.
"As a country we should get together and we should find some mediation. And we should communicate instead of yelling and cursing at each other," added Smokey, another demonstrator.
Trump was due to leave Washington DC on Wednesday heading to his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida.
Earlier this month, Trump announced he would not attend the inauguration of his successor Joe Biden.
