German Chancellor, Angela Merkel attended a World Health Organization (WHO) virtual conference dedicated to the coronavirus pandemic on Friday evening, with some technical difficulties hampering the connection.
Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus who was in Geneva gave Merkel, who talked from Berlin, the floor. However, the communication was not established successfully at first, with the German Chancellor not being heard.
Luckily, the connection was restored and Merkel was able to greet the attendees.
According to media reports, the Chancellor spoke about the vaccine against the novel coronavirus that must become a "global public good" and distributed "all over the world," as extensive research is being carried out in many countries worldwide.
