UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his wife Carrie welcomed Joe Biden and First Lady Jill to Carbis Bay in Cornwall on Friday for the G7 Summit.

Biden jokingly said, "everybody in the water!" during a photo opp atop a platform installed on the beach. "I've been already," Johnson quipped in response.

Leaders of the G7 group consisting of Germany, Italy, France, the UK, Japan, the US and Canada, along with EU representatives and leaders from guest countries will be discussing the most pressing global issues at the three-day event in Cornwall.

During the group's 47th summit, the UK will aim to bring unity to the discussions on the post-pandemic recovery and environmental policies for the future.
