Chinese Foreign Ministry summoned US Ambassador after Pelosi landed in Taipei as an official protest, and warned that Washington “shall pay the price.”


Chinese Defence Ministry announced a series of military drills around Taiwan. US also increased its military presence near Taiwan, with its USS Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group reportedly heading to waters southeast of the island.
