Authorities in Idlib province opened a humanitarian corridor in the Saraqib area in the region’s eastern countryside on Thursday.
The operation supported by the Syrian Arab Army, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent and the Russian contingent in the country aims to help residents who wish to leave the territory controlled by armed groups.
Footage shows Russian and Syrian soldiers, as well as Red Crescent units on standby in the area.
The corridor is one of the three crossings in Idlib and Aleppo regions set to open under a Russia-Turkey agreement.
