US figure skaters filed an application to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to be awarded the sliver medal in the group contest on Saturday, as the awarding ceremony was cancelled due to Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva's doping case. The athletes, Evan Bates, Karen Chen, Nathan Chen, Madison Chock, Zachary Donohue, Brandon Frazier, Madison Hubbell, Alexa Knierim and Vincent Zhou, filed the application to CAS against the International Olympic Committee (IOC) who decided not to hold the awarding ceremony due to Valieva's doping case.

There is a hearing on the application and the decision will be issued later on Saturday.
