Russian President Vladimir Putin met with his Azeri counterpart Ilham Aliyev in Moscow on Tuesday for talks.
"Over the past eight months after the end of hostilities, I think that our personal communication - both in Moscow in January and by phone - played a very important role in stabilising the situation. We are determined to ensure that the post-conflict period is as painless as possible. I think we succeed in doing this together," Aliyev said.
The two also discussed the delivery of Sputnik V vaccine batches to Azerbaijan.
"We have already received more than 200 thousand Sputnik V jabs from Russia, and deliveries are still coming," Aliyev said.
The Russian leader in his turn stressed that the countries are "restoring relations after the coronavirus."
