Monica Iken lost her husband Michael on September 11, 2001 during the attack on the twin towers. But Monica returned to ground zero in New York City to celebrate his birthday on Wednesday with some friends.
"I'm here to celebrate what would have been Michael's 57th birthday. So happy to have friends and family here having his favourite drink merlot," Monica said.
Monica wore her wedding dress to mark the special occasion and said she will continue the tradition.
"I know when I come here I feel Michael, and I know that he is here with me. I'm grateful and honoured that I can still do this job and still be here to honour him as long as I live," she continued.
