Description

Domino art fan A Qian from North China celebrated Olympian winner Eileen Gu by knocking down a stunning domino mural, as seen on Saturday.

A Qian, who lives in Harbin, Heilongjiang province, spent two days and used around 13,000 domino cards to create Eileen Gu’s portrait.

“I was very excited when I learned that Eileen Gu won the championship, so I wanted to express my congratulations to Eileen Gu in a way that I am good at,” A Qian explained.

Besides Eileen Gu, he also created murals of other Chinese athletes who participated in the Winter Games, including snowboarder Su Yiming and speed skating athlete Wu Dajing.

Domino cards are set up and knocked down to create a chain reaction that produces appealing visual effects, including patterns, images, and texts.

China celebrated a record gold medal haul as the Beijing Winter Olympics concluded Sunday, narrowly beating the United States to rank third in the medal count.
