Supporters of Ebrahim Raisi, the winner in Iran’s presidential election, gathered at Imam Hossein Square in Tehran to celebrate their candidate’s victory on Saturday.
Iran's incumbent judiciary chief Raisi comfortably won the country's presidential election. His supporters were hopeful for new changes to take place and corruption to be eliminated in the country.
"God willing, with his presence, and the measures of parliament and the measures that will take place at the highest level of the system, God willing, changes and developments will take place both in JCPOA and in the economic condition of the country," said a Raisi supporter.
Earlier on Saturday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani also met and congratulated Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi for his victory in the 13th presidential election. During the meeting on Saturday, the two sides discussed issues such as the participation of the people in the elections and its impact on the authority of the Islamic Republic.
