The heir to the British throne Prince Charles and his wife Camilla were welcomed in Leipzig on the third day of their visit to Germany on Wednesday.

They signed a guestbook in Leipzig City Hall and visited a number of landmarks including St. Nicholas Church. Hundreds of royal fans were seen on the streets as Charles and Camilla moved across the city.

Prince Charles also visited Leipzig's Worlitzer Garden where he was welcomed by the Minister-President of the Saxony-Anhalt regoin Reiner Haseloff. Charles was given a gondola ride in the garden's canal.

On Thursday, Prince Charles and his wife are expected in Munich.
