The Progress MS-28 cargo ship docked with the Zvezda service module of the International Space Station’s (ISS) Russian segment, the press service of Roscosmos announced on Saturday.

Footage shows the spacecraft docking to the small research module.

Roscosmos reported that Progress MS-28 delivered 2,6 tonnes of cargo to the ISS.

"The transport cargo ship will deliver 2,621 kilograms of cargo for the 71st long expedition crew, including equipment for scientific experiments, clothing, food, medical and sanitation supplies, fuel for refuelling the station and nitrogen to replenish its atmosphere," the statement read.

The Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle with the Progress MS-28 cargo ship took off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on Thursday.
