According to the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Lavrov and Mswati III discussed enhancing bilateral political dialogue, as well as broadening cooperation in trade, economic, investment, and humanitarian spheres.
"There is a closeness or similarity in Moscow's and Mbabane's positions on the most topical global and regional issues, and a mutual willingness for closer coordination of actions on multilateral platforms, primarily within the UN," the ministry reported.
Lavrov arrived at the invitation of Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to take part in a special session of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum and hold bilateral meetings with a number of foreign counterparts.
