Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan arrived to participate in a meeting of the BRICS Council of Foreign Ministers in Nizhny Novgorod on Tuesday.

Footage shows the diplomat stepping out of his car and shaking hands with representatives of the welcoming party, then entering the Nizhny Novgorod Fair exhibition center pavilion to participate in the summit.

"I'm very happy to be here. I think we have wonderful weather," Fidan said.

The BRICS Foreign Ministers' meeting takes place on June 10-11 in Nizhny Novgorod.

According to the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the partners are meeting to discuss the potential for collaboration on political, security, economic and humanitarian matters.

Russia has been chairman of the BRICS grouping since January 1, 2024, when five countries became full members of the bloc, namely Egypt, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Ethiopia.
