Description

Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev remarked on the evolving strategic nature of the relationship with Republika Srpska, during a meeting with Serbian President Milorad Dodik in St. Petersburg on Tuesday.

"It is encouraging to see the comprehensive development of our relations, which are evolving into a strategic partnership. We are thankful for your decision to observe a period of mourning in honour of those who lost their lives in the terrorist attack in the Moscow region," Patrushev stated.

In turn, President Dodik acknowledged the positive dynamics in the bilateral relations and expressed appreciation for the communication at highest levels.

"We view this as strategic cooperation, which is crucial for our ongoing survival. Indeed, over time, the challenges we face have intensified. You have precisely observed that the pressure we're under is unprecedented and relentless," Dodik stressed.

These discussions were part of the XII International Meeting of High Representatives responsible for security matters, being held in St. Petersburg from 23 to 25 April.

According to reports, the sides will discuss issues of information security, combating illegal migration, protecting populations in military conflicts and emergencies, as well as preserving national identities and traditional values globally.
