An Egyptian delegation was seen attending an event in preparation for Russia's World Youth Festival which is scheduled for March 2024.

World Youth Festival participant Mayar Wael Fahem said she was proud to introduce Egypt at the event and looking forward to visiting Russia.
"We are very proud to introduce also Egyptian culture there. And we hope all to be a youth exchange to our country as well. We are looking forward to being there [Sochi] as soon as possible. And I am very curious to get to know more about Russian culture," the young woman said.
A second participant, Hossam Metwaly, said he believes that the festival will unite the many cultural and business spheres of the two countries.
"This event will cover the mutual communication between youth all over the world, the mutual communication, the mutual business, the mutual delegates to enrich our culture, to empower our communities for the best of the future for Egypt and Russia," Metwaly said.
The World Festival of Youth is scheduled to run from March 1-7 2024 on the Sirius Federal Territory. It aims to develop international youth cooperation and brings together up to 20,000 young people, with 160,000 applying from across more than 180 countries.
The Sirius 'Innovation Science and Technology Centre' is the first federal territory in Russia located on the Black Sea coast near the city of Sochi.
