The Armed Forces of Turkmenistan conducted military field exercises in the Balkan region on Wednesday to test combat readiness and improve the professional skills of their personnel and other troops, according to the press service of the country's Defence Ministry.

Footage shows servicemen from different units practicing the destruction of simulated targets in a training area, including submarine and surface warships at sea as well as enemy military equipment in the sky.

The exercises involved the Ground Forces, the Air Force, Air Defence Forces, the Navy of Turkmenistan, as well as the Turkmen Edermen - a special-purpose unit of the country's military and law enforcement agencies.

"The joint operations of the servicemen proved that they made the necessary efforts to successfully carry out the assigned task. During the training they successfully carried out combat operations, relying on their advanced skills, using modern equipment and weapons equipped with the capabilities of a modern digital system," the Defence Ministry's press service stated.

The drills also included an exhibition of military equipment, including various models of UAVs and other weapons.
