Representatives of Russia and Vietnam signed more than 10 documents following President Vladimir Putin's visit to Hanoi on Thursday.
Putin and President To Lam adopted a statement "On Further Deepening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in the Context of the 30th Anniversary of the Implementation of the Russian-Vietnamese Treaty on the Foundations of Friendly Relations".
Footage also shows negotiators exchanging the respective agreements.The heads of companies and corporations of the two countries signed memorandums on the development of Block 11-2 of Vietnam's continental shelf and on the schedule of the nuclear science and technology centre being built with participation of Russian company Rosatom.
An agreement on jointly combating epidemics and co-operation in investment and natural resources was also signed. Ministers agreed to co-operate on the justice system, and tax and customs, while representatives of universities signed documents on higher education.
Putin arrived in Hanoi for a two-day visit on Wednesday at the invitation of Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the country’s Communist Party.
The agenda for the state visit also includes meetings with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and National Assembly Chair Tran Thanh Man.
The last time the Russian leader travelled to the republic was in 2017, when he attended the Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation (APEC) summit in Da Nang.
Earlier, Putin visited Pyongyang and held talks with DPRK (Democratic People's Republic of Korea) leader Kim Jong-un.
