"This is, of course, unacceptable. We make it a matter of urgency. We have a committee on relations with the host country where we, Russia, work, and also a number of countries, a whole number of countries, so we make it a matter of urgency. And there is also the issue of our property in New York, which the UN mission, Russia's mission to the UN uses in its work. These are also unresolved issues, on which the Americans are arbitrarily working, the Americans are acting. We are raising these issues, that's why we are pushing the UN, the UN secretary general to launch arbitration. They can do it and it should be done, we will continue to pursue this line further," Vershinin said.
The diplomat also noted that the message of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov's speech at the General Debate of the 78th Session of the UN General Assembly 'was heard' by foreign envoys.
"It was heard, and we realised it in the course of multilateral contacts and bilateral meetings. It was understood, and the main thing is that - I think - there has been a shift in international sentiment with regard to the real interests of the global majority," he stressed.
On Wednesday, Konstantin Vorontsov, Deputy Director of the Russian Foreign Ministry's department for non-proliferation and arms control, said that by delaying the issuance of visas to the Russian side, the United States tried to hinder Russia's chairmanship of the 'Nuclear Five' meeting.
