Description

Thousands of people gathered at the Wing of Parma aviation festival in Russia’s Perm on Saturday to enjoy stunt flying demonstrated by the country’s famous air display teams.

Footage features fighter jets and small aircraft performing various maneuvers and drawing hearts in the sky.

According to the 'Strizhi' (Swifts) aerobatic team master pilot, Filipp Matveev, the crew prepared a comprehensive programme for the event.

"It will include a full range of team aerobatic maneuvers with regrouping into different formations, performing the most complex figures, such as Nesterov loop, barrel roll and simultaneous barrel rolls," the man shared.

Meanwhile, one of the airshow visitors, Vladimir Orlov, praised the high level of the festival participants, saying that 'nobody in the world flies like them'.

"They perform world-class aerobatics. Not everyone can fly like that. Moreover, some of the pilots from this team are part of the so-called diamond formation. This is when four heavy fighters and five MiG-29 lightweight fighters, the 'Strizhi', fly together. It’s difficult, yes," he added.

According to Dmitri Makhonin, Governor of the Perm region, tens of thousands of people attended the festival during the day.
