Description

Armenian Ambassador to Russia Vagharshak Harutiunyan paid a working visit to the Kursk region, which borders Ukraine, on Tuesday.

Footage shows Harutiunyan laying flowers at WWII memorials and near a monument dedicated to Russian-Armenian friendship, where he also planted a fir tree.

Acting Governor of the Kursk region, Alexey Smirnov said the region was open to Armenian businesses to inject life into the local economy and create new jobs.

"That is why we are committed to a long-term, good partnership," he added.

In turn, Harutiunyan said that his country would develop trade and economic ties, as well as greater cultural and scientific-technical co-operation with the Russian region.

A day earlier, the Armenian ambassador paid a working visit to Belgorod.
