Russian cosmonaut Konstantin Borisov gave a night tour of the International Space Station (ISS) segments.

The exclusive footage released on Wednesday, November 8, shows Borisov moving around the Russian, American and Japanese segments of the ISS.

The cosmonaut started his tour from the Prichal Russian nodal module and took a long route through the entire station.

"Now it is already midnight, everyone has gone to bed. At the station the night lights are switched on, and we can fly quietly, see and feel the atmosphere of the night at the International Space Station," Borisov said.

Next, Borisov passed through the Nauka Multipurpose Laboratory Module and the transitional compartment, from which astronauts can proceed in four different directions.

"We left the service module, where we do most of our work and daily activities, including eating, sports, station maintenance and scientific experiments," the cosmonaut continued.

In front of the American segment is the Rassvet Mini-Research Module with a docked Soyuz spacecraft.

"It's [American segment] a little darker here, we're flying carefully. To the right is the cargo compartment, from where they go out into outer space; the laboratory module, a spacious module, is in front. <...> I'm going to keep my voice down, we're flying to the American crew quarters - four cabins around the perimeter," Borisov noted.

Then he shared the Japanese segment, the most spacious in the ISS, he said.

"[The Japanese module is] so spacious that I can't grab onto anything right now. No, the walls are far away. Just waiting to fly to the opposite wall. Here we turn upwards and fly up into the Japanese segment storage module," Borisov said.

Borisov arrived at the ISS aboard a SpaceX Crew Dragon with the Crew-7 expedition on August 27.

The crew also included NASA astronaut and Crew-7 commander Jasmin Moghbeli, European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut Andreas Mogensen and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) astronaut Satoshi Furukawa.

Borisov is the third Russian cosmonaut to travel to the ISS aboard a SpaceX rocket, after Anna Kikina and Andrey Fedyaev, who arrived at the station in October 2022 and March 2023 respectively.
