Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) countries completed the active phase of the 'Interaction-2024', 'Search-2024', and 'Echelon-2024' joint military drills in Kyrgyzstan’s Balykchy on Wednesday.

"As part of the active phase of the exercise, the CSTO CRRF trained aspects related to the conduct combat and special operations by CRRF units, the assault of tactical airborne and amphibious landing troops to complete the defeat of the enemy, the protection of troops from enemy air strikes, and the mitigation of consequences arising from combat operations," the CSTO press service statement read.
According to the Kyrgyz Defense Ministry, 1,500 soldiers from Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, as well as 300 pieces of military equipment, including drones, boats, and air defence systems, took part in the exercises.
