An exhibition of Western military hardware captured during the Ukrainian conflict kicked off in Kazan on Wednesday.
Footage shows visitors touring and taking pictures of American, German and British tanks and infantry fighting vehicles (IFV), as well as other damaged military hardware.
Head of the exhibition Zagar Darov said that the 'most important' trophy presented was the 'largest American Abrams heavy tank', which had allegedly been hit by Russian FPV drones.
"The first FPV drone hit the engine compartment, thus immobilising the tank. The second one hit the commander's hatch. Accordingly, the ammunition package caught fire, everything was burnt out, and this exhibit was brought here," he said.
Enver Nabiyev, a visitor with combat experience, said that it is "not even a matter of who has better or worse weapons, but who can use them correctly".
"Their tanks burn very well, and any other hardware burns well, " he added.
The exhibition takes place on November 13-19 in Kazan. In addition to American models, the exhibition also showcased armoured vehicles and jeeps made in Britain, Germany, Turkey and Austria.
Moscow launched a military offensive in Ukraine in late February 2022 after recognising the independence of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR), claiming that Kiev had failed to guarantee their special status under the 2014 Minsk Agreements, and urging Ukraine to declare itself officially neutral and give assurances that it would never join NATO.
Kiev denounced the Russian action as an invasion. Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelensky imposed martial law throughout the country, announcing a general mobilisation, while the EU and the US imposed several rounds of sanctions on Moscow.
