Putin arrived in Vietnam at the invitation of Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the country’s Communist Party. The Russian leader is also holding talks with President To Lam and National Assembly Chair Tran Thanh Man.
The last time Putin travelled to the republic was in 2017, when he attended the Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation summit in Da Nang.
