Congolese Foreign Minister Jean-Claude Gakosso welcomed Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov as he arrived for a working visit at Oyo airport in Brazzaville on Monday.
Footage shows the Russian foreign minister embracing Gakosso and shaking hands with members of the welcoming delegation on the tarmac.
"Hello, my dear fellow," Lavrov said to his Congolese counterpart.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated via her Telegram channel that Lavrov will hold talks with the republic's leadership in Oyo on Tuesday.
Earlier in the day, Lavrov visited Conakry, where he held talks with Guinean Foreign Minister Morissanda Kouyate. The discussions focused on trade, economic, military, and technical cooperation between the two countries, as well as coordination of actions on the international stage.
