Description

Footage captured in Myrnohrad on Sunday shows rubble inside and outside of a heavily damaged building in the aftermath of an alleged missile strike.

According to the Ukraine's Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, 11 people, including a 16-year-old teenager, were injured as a result of a 'Russian strike involving S-300 missiles.'

"On March 10, at about 03:00, Russian occupation forces hit Myrnohrad with three S-300 missiles. The weapon targeted a residential area. As a result of the attack, at least 17 multi-storey buildings and 27 cars were damaged," the statement read.

Russia has not commented on the reported missile attack. It has strongly denied targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure.

Moscow launched a military offensive in Ukraine in late February 2022 after recognising the independence of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR), claiming that Kiev had failed to guarantee their special status under the 2014 Minsk Agreements, and urging Ukraine to declare itself officially neutral and give assurances that it would never join NATO.

Kiev denounced the Russian action as an invasion. Zelensky imposed martial law throughout the country, announcing a general mobilisation, while the EU and the US imposed several rounds of sanctions on Moscow.
