Footage captured on Thursday evening shows Israel's Iron Dome defence system intercepting a barrage of rockets launched by Hezbollah from southern Lebanon.
"Following the sirens in northern Israel, 35 launches were detected that crossed the border from Lebanon," Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement.
"Defenses were able to repel the majority of these operations, and no injuries were reported," the statement added.
Hezbollah said that it carried out a series of attacks on Thursday, including "firing dozens of Katyusha rockets at the main air defence base of the Northern Command in the Beria barracks."
Footage also shows an ambulance rushing to the scene after an Israeli bombardment of the Lebanese border town of Khiyam.
Lebanese State News Agency NNA reported that Israeli warplanes raided Khiyam twice.
The Israeli army confirmed the shelling of Khiyam, saying that the air force targeted 'Hezbollah military facilities' in the town.
Tensions have flared between Israel and Hezbollah after the Hamas offensive of October 7 and the subsequent IDF military campaign in the Gaza Strip. Both sides have frequently exchanged fire along the Lebanese border, with the IDF targeting senior commanders and what it describes as 'terrorist infrastructure'.
