The streets of Gelsenkirchen were flooded with Portuguese and Georgian football fans on Wednesday as teams geared up for the final group stage matches of Euro 2024.

Footage shows Georgian fans, draped in national jerseys, waving flags in a festive mood as they gather outside Arena AufSchalke Stadium. Portuguese fans can also be seen marching down the city streets in support of their team.

"The atmosphere is very good here. The supporters feel very good. I think Portugal has more experience in doing the Euros. But we hope that Georgia will win," said a Georgian supporter.

"The atmosphere will be great, so great that we are going to explode. Benfica is going to win the Euro and the championship," said a Portuguese fan.

Portugal, having already secured the top spot in the group, had a shock 2-0 defeat. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia gave the lead to his team, while Georges Mikautadze doubled the advantage, putting Georgia through to the last 16 as well.

Georgia will face Spain the knockout stage, while Portugal will go up against Slovenia.
