03:27Bilal Junaid, the father of a four-year-old Palestinian girl Saja, who was seriously injured during ongoing armed conflict in Gaza said his daughter receives 'no treatment' in Al-Aqsa Hospital, speaking in an interview on Friday.
Footage features Saja sleeping on a bed at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the southern Gaza' Deir al-Balah. The bandage can be seen covering the girl's head and face almost completely due to her severe burns. The video also features Saja's father standing near her bed and trying to alleviate his daughter's suffering.
"We remained at Al-Shifa hospital for five days and the only treatment she had was merely an ointment regimen. The army unexpectedly besieged Al-Shifa Hospital, leaving us without food or even any medical care for Saja for four days. The patients were told by the army to head south," Bilal Junaid, Saja's father, recounted.
He went on to say that his daughter's face had been burnt 'in Israeli shelling'. "After we were besieged, we went to Al-Aqsa Hospital and no treatment was available here, so they were just cleaning the burns and offering her disinfectants," the man added.
Bilal also expressed his hope that Saja can receive therapy abroad and even 'urges' the philanthropists to transfer the girl abroad 'to get the needed treatment as soon as possible'.
According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, Israeli forces launched a raid on Gaza's Al-Shifa Hospital on Monday. At least 30,000 people were inside the facility at the time of the attack, including displaced families, patients and medical staff.
The Israeli military reportedly said that the operation was based on information that Hamas officials were in the area and repeated claims that the hospital was recently being used as a 'command centre'.
