"The floral carpet you see behind me … is the largest floral carpet in the Middle East," said Mohammad Ilbeigi, head of public information at the Sima Green Area Organisation. "Inside the carpet, more than eight types of tulips are planted next to the seasonal flowers.”
Known as 'Laleh', tulips are among several unique plants grown in the Iranian mountainous regions. They are closely connected to Iranian culture, symbolising God, love, and martyrdom.
