Injured Gazans were taken to Al-Ahli Al-Arabi (Baptist) Hospital on Thursday amid intense Israeli bombardment on Shejaiya neighbourhood and a reported incursion by ground forces.

Footage shows medics struggling to accommodate dozens of injured individuals in the already overcrowded hospital, while distraught relatives shared their harrowing accounts.

“They bombed the school and the clinic, as well as the adjacent Badr School without prior warning. Suddenly, the Israeli tanks surrounded us, it was unbelievable. Thousands of people were besieged, the martyrs and wounded were lying on the ground," a relative of an injured man said.

"We barely survived. It was terrible. Have mercy on us. Only God gives mercy. We are exhausted. For nine months, no one showed sympathy to us, enough is enough, we are dying slowly. Look at my brother, he is having surgery because of a splenic injury of the fourth degree,” he added

Earlier on the same day, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that the Israeli military had allegedly targeted three buildings in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of 47 people and injuring 52 others in the past 24 hours. Some victims remain trapped beneath the rubble, as ambulance and civil defence teams work tirelessly to rescue them.

On Thursday, The IDF issued an urgent evacuation order, urging residents of the Shujaiya area, as well as the new neighbourhoods, Turkmen, and Tuffah, to immediately move south towards Salah al-Din Street, a designated humanitarian zone.

Fighting continues in Gaza after Hamas launched an unprecedented attack on southern Israel on October 7, killing 1,139 people, mostly civilians, and kidnapping over 200, according to Israeli officials.

Israel declared war on the group and a 'complete siege' of Gaza, with a large-scale campaign of air strikes. A ground incursion began at the end of the third week, with Israeli leaders vowing to 'wipe out' Hamas. Palestinian officials reported that at least 37,765 people had been killed and more than 86,377 injured, at the time of publication.
