Thousands of people were seen marching towards the Allianz Arena in Munich on Tuesday ahead of the match between the Netherlands and Romania in the round of 16 of this year’s UEFA EURO 2024.

"I hope we will win, but they haven't shown it yet. I hope they show it tonight," Hein, a Dutch fan said, while also expressing his belief that a potential victory depended on Memphis Depay.

"It's hard to say. Today, you don't know, if Memphis Depay plays well, then he'll pull the 11th with him. But without him, I don't think so," Hein added.

Footage shows thousands of Dutch fans marching and chanting on the streets of Munich, as well as Romanian fans waving the country’s flags and cheering near the stadium.

"Romania will win today because I can't see the Netherlands over Belgium. We had a very good game against Belgium, so hopefully today we will kick them out and then face Austria," Klaus, a Romanian fan said.

Romania qualified for the round of 16 of the UEFA EURO 2024 after finishing first in Group E, while the Netherlands got its ticket to the tournament’s next round after being one of the best third places in the group stage.
