Hundreds of Austrian and Polish fans were seen gathering outside Berlin's Olympiastadion on Friday ahead of the two countries' second game in the UEFA EURO 2024 group stage.
Footage shows fans geared up for game day and socialising before the match. Fans of the Austrian team can also be seen chanting in front of Berlin’s iconic Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church.
"[The] Polish team is really strong, we saw it in the first match, but Austria is better. We have to win today!" said one fan of the Austrian team.
"I expect that Austria will win," another agreed. "We will see a great match and we will have a great time here."
Austria lost to France 1-0 in its first match for this year’s EURO, while Poland lost 2-1 to the Netherlands.
"I think we have a chance to win today. We must fight. In general, we must fight to score goals and I think Lewandowski will be the player of the match," said a Polish fan
The 17th edition of the UEFA EURO 2024 takes place in ten venues across Germany, which marks the first time the nation has hosted this competition since its reunification.
The UEFA EURO 2024 will last until July 14. The group stage, which consists of 24 teams divided into six groups, ends on June 26, with the knockout tournament beginning on June 29.
