Fans of Hungary and Germany gathered in Stuttgart on Wednesday ahead of their teams' match in the second round of the group stage at Euro 2024. Footage captured fans burning smoke flares, dancing, and relaxing on lawns with children.

"The mood today is definitely great. We're playing right here in Stuttgart, and the game has been tough. The Hungarians are our opponents this time, just like the Scots were before, but we're still in a 2-3-1 formation. It's doable today," said a German fan.

Many fans travelled to Germany to soak up the tournament atmosphere, even without tickets. "I don't have a ticket, so I came here just for fun and supporting the team," said a Hungarian fan.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban were reportedly in attendance for the match, which saw Germany secure a 2-0 victory over Hungary. This win marked Germany's second in the group stage and made them the first team to guarantee a spot in the 1/8 finals of Euro 2024.

Euro 2024 will feature a total of 51 matches across 10 stadiums in Germany. The top two teams from each group, along with the four best third-placed teams, will advance to the 1/8 finals. The tournament's final is scheduled to take place on 14 July in Berlin.
