Hundreds of people staged a demonstration in front of the Israeli Embassy in Pretoria on Saturday, demanding the ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon.
Footage shows the demonstrators waving Palestinian and Lebanese flags and holding signs, among others reading: 'Israel bombs! USA pays! How many kids did you kill today?' and 'Your silence will be studied by your grandkids'.
Umayya Theba, one of the protesters, demanded Israeli embassy to be shut down, saying: "I feel really strongly [concerned] about Israel's impunity in the Middle East. The fact that they are getting away with acts of genocide and that they are invading, illegally invading sovereign Lebanese territory and this just has to stop."
Roshan Dadoo, another demonstrator, shared her concerns about the election of Donald Trump as the US' new president.
"Under Biden we saw military spending, military assistence, literally weapons going to bomb the Palestinian people to commit genocide, going in numbers, going in increasing numbers from America. So, it's unlikely that the policy of America will change," said .
