Several visitors expressed their disappointment as Mount Fuji remains devoid of its iconic snowcap, marking the longest stretch without snow since records began 130 years ago.

Despite experiencing its first snowfall after an unprecedented period without snow, Japan's highest peak still lacks the wintery covering that typically graces its summit.

Footage captured in Shizuoka on Saturday reveals tourists taking pictures and selfies against the backdrop of a snowless Mount Fuji, along with stunning drone shots showcasing the mountain's stark beauty.

“I was going to say that it's a little bit of a surprise considering we came here deliberately to see the snow-capped mountains. But it is something that we can't control; it is nature. It is what it is. But we still come here to enjoy our time anyway," said Felix, one of the visitors.

"In a way it is disappointing, but I think in terms of what still we get, it is still breathtaking. So, we didn't expect it to be this nice without the snow, but it's still fantastic. It still take our breath away, even though the snow is not there," added another

Local media reports indicated that warm weather has significantly affected the region in recent weeks, with the summit's average temperature reaching 1.6 degrees Celsius in October—the highest recorded for the month since 1932.
