Description

Footage filmed outside the ninth Turkish observation post in the city of Morek in the northern Syrian governorate of Hama, on Monday, showed unusual movements as trucks, vehicles and a crane were seen carrying out operations inside.

Unconfirmed reports have stated that the Turkish forces are preparing to withdraw from their besieged post towards Jabal Al-Zawiya in the southern countryside of Idlib governorate.

The Turkish forces have reportedly begun to establish a new observation post in the strategic town of Qoqfin, in Jabal Al-Zawiya.

The reports of the withdrawal have not been confirmed.

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) have seized the city of Morek in August 2019 and besieged the Morek observation post ever since.

The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has repeatedly demanded the withdrawal of SAA from the area.
