    Supporters of US President Donald Trump stormed the Capitol building in Washington DC after their 'Save America March' took an unexpected turn on Wednesday.

    Protesters were packed inside the entrance hall of Capitol with some clearly under effects of tear gas.

    The storming of the Capitol by came after supporters of Trump gathered for another round of the 'Save America' rally to protest the results of the 2020 US Presidential Election.

    The protest was taking place on the same day the US Congress was formally certifying the electoral college votes, confirming Joe Biden as the next President of the United States.

    The counting had to be stopped after protesters stormed the floor of the Congress.
